Today we visited St.John’s and enjoyed a collective worship and celebration service. The children were surprised to see these! The children loved listening to your interesting facts about courgettes! Also we would like to thank Enya for bringing in home grown tomatoes and carrots for the children to see. Thank you to Hattie who has produced some extra work at home. Thank you to Miss Blundell for your support with this activity. In Art the children have worked hard to create a portrait in the style of Andy Warhol. The children have shown that they can work as a team which is lovely to see. We have loved our PE, Swimming and Golden Mile activities this week. The children took this task very seriously and said they felt proud of their work. Year 1 have worked hard to write a prayer to God. We have had some Good News this week…a huge well done to Ethan who brought in a photograph of him riding a bike for the first time! Please could everybody bring in a photograph/certificate/ piece of writing representing Good News by next Tuesday as we would like to create a Good news collage. The children have been thinking about What God means to them and have been discussing Good News.

We will work on this during morning activities next week. We are really confident counting up to 20 but we do need to practise forming our numbers 3, 5 and 7. In Maths we have been practising our counting to 100. Soon, we will be sending home phonics worksheets for you to support your child with at home. We have also been revising our Speed Sounds 1.

#Wild rumpus park full
Please ask your child if they know the action for Capital letter and full stop. Year 1 have been using capital letters and full stops in their writing this week. Who are you? Are you real? What time is The Wild Rumpus? The children can now recognise the question words ‘What?’, ‘Why?’, ‘Where?’, ‘When?’ and Who?’. We have been writing a reply back to The Wild Things asking them questions e.g. Year 1 were very excited to find an invitation from The Wild Things on my desk! We are not sure who The Wild Things are so we won’t be attended The Wild Rumpus in the forest!
